Denilson Igwe, a well-known Nigerian skit maker, recently opened up about the difficulties he has faced since parting ways with the Mark Angel Comedy group. The popular comedy channel, which began gaining traction in 2013, has amassed over a billion views and nine million subscribers on YouTube. It is led by Mark Angel and features other comedic talents, including Emmanuella and Igwe himself.
In an interview on The Honest Bunch Podcast, Igwe revealed that shortly after leaving the group in 2019, his social media accounts were compromised. "They hacked my YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram pages the week I left Mark Angel Comedy," he explained. Igwe added that since then, his social media growth has stagnated, with no new followers gained despite his efforts.
Igwe previously claimed to be a co-founder of the Mark Angel Comedy channel and accused Mark Angel of monetizing the platform without his consent. He expressed frustration over the stagnant state of his social media presence since the incident.
