ACP Chike Oti, a former spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, is currently facing a severe health challenge after being diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease.
In a public appeal issued on August 22, Oti disclosed that he urgently needs N25 million to fund a kidney transplant, which is his only hope for survival. He explained that he was diagnosed with fifth-stage renal failure, a critical condition that has left him in urgent need of life-saving treatment.
Currently serving as ACP DFA at the Railway Police Command in Ebutte Meta, Lagos, Oti revealed that his condition resulted from unregulated high blood pressure. He has already spent approximately N3.5 million on initial treatments, including a week-long stay at Lagoon Hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Despite his best efforts, Oti admitted that the ongoing costs of treatment are beyond his financial capacity. He now appeals to the public, well-wishers, and fellow Nigerians for financial assistance to help cover the expenses of a kidney transplant.
In his heartfelt message, Oti shared the gravity of his situation and his determination to fight the illness, expressing hope that the generosity of others will allow him to receive the treatment he desperately needs.
