The family of the late singer Mohbad has made an urgent appeal to the Nigerian public, asking anyone with information that could aid in the investigation into his death to come forward.
In a recent statement, the family’s legal representatives expressed concern over sensitive information being shared online, which they believe should be directed to law enforcement instead. Monisola Esther, a member of the legal team, emphasized that crucial details should be submitted to the police to ensure the protection of both witnesses and suspects.
"Considering the circumstances surrounding Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba's (Mohbad) death, we urge anyone with relevant information to reach out to us or the police to facilitate the ongoing investigation," Esther stated.
The family underscored that Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, is solely focused on uncovering the truth about his son’s untimely death and is not pursuing personal relationships at this time.
This request follows recent social media allegations made by Karimot, Mohbad’s sister-in-law, who accused the singer's widow, Wunmi, of being involved in his death and claimed to possess incriminating information.
The family reiterated that the Coroner's Court is the appropriate venue for revealing any information that could assist in the investigation.
