Yusuf Olorungbede, a well-known Nollywood actor and film producer, has passed away. The actor took his last breath on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
The heartbreaking news was confirmed by Olorungbede's younger brother, Oladimeji Peter, who shared an emotional tribute on his verified Facebook account. In his post, Peter reminisced about the impact his late brother had on his life and career, expressing his deep sorrow at the loss.
Peter wrote, “It’s heartbreaking to know you’re gone. As an actor, you gave me the courage to pursue my dreams. You were the first director to invite me to a movie set, ensuring that my accommodation and meals were taken care of without any stress. How can I share my journey in this industry without mentioning your name? Rest well, Boss. Yusuf Olorungbebe.”
The exact cause of Olorungbede’s death remains unknown at the time of this report.
This sad news comes shortly after the passing of another Nollywood star, actress Sharon Okpamen, who died just days after giving birth to her second child.
