Popular Nollywood actress and media personality Idia Aisien recently experienced a traumatic car accident that occurred on her birthday. In a heartfelt post shared on her Instagram account, Aisien revealed that the accident, which happened on July 6, 2024, led to serious injuries, including a broken leg in three places, leaving her unable to walk.
The accident turned what was supposed to be a joyful day into a painful ordeal. However, Aisien has found purpose through this challenging experience. She shared her determination to improve the lives of people living with disabilities, inspired by her own journey through recovery.
Aisien announced several initiatives she plans to undertake, including launching "FashionAble," an adaptive clothing line designed for people with disabilities. She also aims to donate essential equipment like wheelchairs and crutches to centers across Nigeria, improve food options in care facilities, and fund medical equipment and surgeries to better support those in need.
In her message, Aisien expressed deep gratitude to her family and friends for their unwavering support during this difficult time, acknowledging the painful yet transformative eight-week recovery period.
