Vice President Atiku Abubakar |
Atiku, who served as Obasanjo’s deputy from 1999 to 2007, arrived at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) at 12:36 p.m. on Monday. He was accompanied by former governors Liyel Imoke (Cross River) and Senator Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), alongside Senator Abdul Ningi (Bauchi Central).
After a closed-door meeting that lasted over an hour, Atiku addressed journalists, stating that the visit was purely a courtesy call and not politically motivated.
“It’s just a courtesy visit, please. I am not going to talk about politics,” he said.
