The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested ten individuals, including eight women and two men, for allegedly loitering at night in different parts of the state.
The arrests were part of the ongoing Operation Clean Up initiative, which aims to uphold public order and enhance environmental sanitation.
Hisbah's Acting Commander, Aminudden Mujahiddeen, confirmed the arrests took place at various locations, including Kofar Ruwa Motor Park, Airport Road, and Sabon Gari.
He further disclosed that some of the individuals were suspected of engaging in drug-related activities and solicitation. “Some of them are not even residents of Kano, and one of the women is a foreign national,” Mujahiddeen stated.
He assured the public that investigations are ongoing and that necessary measures will be taken to ensure law and order are maintained in the state.
